Acmena is delighted to announce the appointment of Jordon Wong to the level of Senior Consultant.
Jordon joined the company in May 2018 as Acmena’s very first intern while he was completing a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Queensland.
Cutting his teeth on the Queensland Rail New Generation Rollingstock project, Jordon learned the basics of requirements management, which kindled an interest in systems engineering and systems assurance.
A year later and with his degree in the bag, the training wheels came off and Jordon would become a full-time consultant, joining the Cross River Rail team to provide systems engineering support to the Rail, Infrastructure and Systems (RIS) package.
Initially working on requirements management activities, Jordon was given the opportunity to spread his wings and take on the challenge of developing various assurance deliverables.
Currently, he is responsible for developing safety cases for various project assets in addition to risk assessments using SFAIRP principles. He has also provided assurance support for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Train Management System and Rail Safety Systems’ high-integrity, low-cost Rail Active Crossing System (RAXS).
“It’s been an awesome journey progressing through as an intern, graduate, consultant, and now senior engineer with Acmena,” said Jordon.
“My time here has given me the opportunity to work with various clients on a range of different projects. It has been a great career so far, and I look forward to continuing with Acmena into the future.”
