Acmena Senior Human Factors Consultant, Keryn Pauley, has been announced as one of the guest speakers at the 17th annual Australian Tunnelling Conference.

Held at the Aerial UTS Function Centre in Sydney between 11 – 12 May, the conference will provide a forum for leading industry experts to discuss current and future tunnelling projects, in addition to the latest industry developments and best practice in tunnelling design, construction, safety and maintenance.

Previously the Human Factors Lead for Brisbane’s $5.4b Cross River Rail Tunnels, Stations and Developments package, Keryn has extensive experience in integrating human factors processes into the design of both tunnels and underground stations.

Her paper, Human Factors in Tunnel Design, will leverage her experience in supporting major rail infrastructure projects to examine the importance of adopting human factors early into the design process and how HF processes should be integrated into the various phases of the project in order to ensure that project assets are delivered safe and fit for purpose.

“I am excited to be asked to present at the Australian Tunnelling conference and share my experience in applying human factors to tunnelling design,” Keryn said. “The conference line up is impressive and I’m honoured to present alongside them.”

Keryn will be delivering her presentation on Thursday 12 May at 12:40pm (AEST). For more information on the conference, including booking and pricing, visit: https://www.informa.com.au/event/conference/infrastructure/australian-tunnelling-conference/
