Acmena is delighted to announce the appointment of our newest intern – Godwin Theckineth.
Working out of Acmena’s Brisbane offices, Godwin is a fourth-year student at the Queensland University of Technology where he is studying a combined engineering and science degree in physics and mechatronics.
As a systems engineering intern, Godwin will have the opportunity to work alongside the Acmena Cross River Rail team in addition to getting exposure to other high-profile projects across the business. He will also benefit from attending our monthly company state days where we share knowledge across our three centres of excellence in systems engineering, systems assurance and human factors and get the team together for social events.
As his mentor, Principal Systems Assurance Consultant, Campbell Sims, will work with Godwin to ensure that he receives appropriate guidance during this early part of his career and gets the most out of his internship.
“Godwin will make an excellent addition to the Queensland team,” said Acmena General Manager, Mike Bruce. “It’s always exciting to support up-and-coming talent as they take their first steps in the industry. With Campbell’s guidance and access to a great team, both locally and throughout the business, Godwin is in very good hands.”
“I am excited to be a part of the team at Acmena, a company renowned for its excellence in safety engineering and systems engineering,” said Godwin. “Working with the Cross River Rail team offers a unique opportunity to develop my skills and gain valuable experience.”
Godwin joins Yangyang Li and Charlott Werner who are undertaking internships in systems engineering and human factors respectively. Committed to providing meaningful pathways for up-and-coming talent Acmena expects to welcome several more graduates and interns into the fold over the course of the year.
