Acmena is delighted to announce the promotion of human factors specialist, Sam Wecker, to Senior Consultant.
Joining the Acmena Brisbane office in November 2019, Sam has been a key part of the Cross River Rail – Rail, Integration and Systems team, where he has been responsible for providing human factors and ergonomics analysis of various elements across the surface design packages, including rail infrastructure buildings, systems and services.
Sam has also been involved in developing and delivering Day in the Life Of (DITLO) workshops, which have been a key part in Acmena’s human-centred approach to providing a deeper understanding of the various assets being delivered and ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose.
This approach has been critical to achieving the successful integration of various systems on this highly complex project.
“It is fantastic to see Sam’s attention to detail and diligence in the application of human factors tools and techniques recognised through this promotion,” said Acmena General Manager, Mike Bruce. “I have no doubt that Sam will rise to his new responsibilities and accountabilities as a Senior Consultant.”
“I’m excited for the opportunity and am looking forward to continuing work on the Cross River Rail Project,” said Sam. “I’d also like to thank the entire Acmena team, and specifically Keryn Pauley for her support.”
Congratulations to Sam on his well-deserved promotion. It has been a pleasure to work with such a capable young professional and support the progression of what is shaping up to be a very promising career.
